As a makeup artist, there’s nothing like that feeling I get when I witness beautiful eyes and blushing cheeks, only to find an oily, multi-toned complexion underneath. Ladies (and some gentleman) THAT IS A CRIME. Think of it this way, how important is the foundation of a newly constructed commercial building or single family home? Very important!! It is the same with your complexion. Always Always have a clean and even palette before applying other makeup to your face.

From the age of 5, I’ve always been fascinated with the beauty industry. Whether it was styling my dolls before mini tea parties or playing in my mother’s makeup as she’s preparing for a night out on the town. I’d get excited about applying makeup only to find that I was not skilled to do so professionally (Yea it was that bad lol) Once I became a professional NFL cheerleader 5 year ago, I instantly felt the passion I had from the time I was 5 years old. What is this life I was embarking on? The glamorous life I called it. I decided to perfect my craft by attending beauty school and training with profound stylist and makeup artist around the world. Let’s be honest, what is a haute outfit and styled hair, if your makeup isn’t polished? SHAME ON YOU. From the natural canvas cutie to the fierce dramatic drag queen, this blog supplies answers to questions you may have and/or the opportunity to attend future Makeup Your Mind beauty sessions.
